Crabby Days II
Crabby Days
I thought I would show you this great new card I learned on Dawn Griffith's blog Dawn's Stamping Thoughts www.dawnsstampingthoughts.typepad.com She has some awesome video tutorials and some great ideas to share. The recipe calls for 12X12 cs, but I didn't have any, so I had to finagle it a bit. I love the results though. I thought about doing this as a convention swap but unfortunately Mr. Crabby Pants is too hard to color so I have to come up with something else. My swap group might see this in the future though. :) I'd love to hear what you think, so drop me a line in t
he comment section. Click on the photos to make them bigger.

Hats Off to Stampin' Up!
My good friend Kari Ransom asked me to figure out how to make a hat out of SU's designer paper. Well she showed me a picture of what she wanted but there was no pattern or instructions so I thought , "I can figure this out, no problem". Okay, first of all, I sew but not very well. Secondly, I suck at math. BIG TIME!! I called my mom to ask if she had any ideas, but she's all the way in Michigan and she felt I needed a pattern. (Which I didn't have and couldn't find) So then I called my SIL Gaye, and she so sweetly agreed to come over and help me. Well, after cutting out butcher paper and playing with it for a while we finally came up with a prototype. It turned out really cute. Kari came over and said she loved it, so we set to work. Here are some pictures of our final products. Kari and her friend will be wearing these to convention. If you plan on going, let me know if you see them and what you think of them
in person.
We originally didn't put a stitch line in the bill of the orange hat as you can see in the single picture. We felt it looked so much better though with stitch line so we added it and took the picture of both of them together. Hope you like them Kari!!!!
Kaney's Orlando Trip

Hi Everyone! I have been so busy today finishing a project for a friend. I finally got the pictures of my daughter Kaney's trip to Orlando. For those who don't know my father lives in Orlando and works in security at Disney World. A friend of mine, Deanna, was taking her family on vacation there and invited Kaney to tag along. She had so much fun and my dad was able to help them out with tickets to Sea World, dinner at the best restaurant in the French pavilion at Epcot and of course Disney admission. She was able to meet my father's new wife, Sonja and my new little brother Gabriel. I wish I could post all of the pictures as they are awesome!! (Thanks, Dean

Hi All! I wanted to share a card we made last night at our 10-10-15 club at Kari Ransom's house. We did a few unique things with this card. First of all we used the SU punch Round Tab to make the circle window in the front. Secondly, we punched 2 round tabs out of Whisper White CS and layered them on top of each other to create the white circle under the pink scallop. The last cool thing we did was to use the Stamp-a-majig to line up our stitching from All in a Row. On closer look I think I need a little practice with this. :) Greg and the twins are heading to the river so I hope to get some work done on a cool project I am doing for Kari. If it turns out I will post so all of you can see. If not you will never hear of it again.
Thanks for stopping by!

Hi Everyone! I wanted to share a card I made for our friends that lost their father. I used the soon to retire Wasabi and Guava along with Chocolate Chip. The main image was covered with Versa Mark and embossed with Iridescent Ice. The paper was from the Occasions mini, Afternoon Tea. I really like these colors and will be sad to see them go. The set used is Close As A Memory. I don't own it, but after the past week, it is definitely on my "too be ordered" list!
Along with the card, I will be taking over a Texas Sheet Cake. I have made this cake a hundred times, but for some reason, all I had were problems with it last night. Hopefully it will taste good. (Fingers are crossed) For those who don't have this recipe, I thought I would share it.
